The first edition focuses on electronic music in particular. It aims to strengthen the representation of women and gender minorities in the music industry in North Africa and the MENA region. The program promotes the values of Intersectionality, Freedom, Diversity, Inclusion, and community-led action.
This program is intended for sound artists, DJs, VJs, managers, label managers, music video directors, and all professional women on the Moroccan electronic scene.
For this second Talk, we give the floor to three fantastic female sound explorers from the MENA region: Sarra, Souma and Yara.
The first edition of the program; a training residency in October 2021 supervised by Sarra Wild for the DJing workshop and by Souma Stranger for the production, digital audio and stereo mixing workshop.
The second residency took place during January 2022 with the supervision of Mounir Kabbaj for the artist management workshop and Reda Senhaji (Cheb Runner) and Souma Stranger for the production and composition workshop.
